A Beginners Guide to Keeping Sheep.

Interested in keeping your own sheep for meat or wool production, or do you just want to learn more about sheep keeping before starting a small flock?, then this course will be of interest to you.

This course will be tailored to suit your requirements and is available as and when requested, as I usually work with individuals or couples/partners.

We start by looking at the legal side of things, different breeds, and their uses, and common ailments. We then move outside where we can become hands on,  learn how to handle sheep safely, look at feet, teeth, and overall health of the sheep, basic equipment needed, feeding, supplements, routine medications, not forgetting fleece qualities.

If you require a full days course we are happy to oblige. Friendly, helpful, honest advice given. We just want your new sheep to have the best care possible :)

You will need to bring sensible waterproof clothing, including waterproof trousers, and either walking boots or wellingtons.
